Locums Hospital Medicine Physician — Derry, NH (Family Medicine)

Location: Derry, New Hampshire

Overview:
Ongoing locum hospital medicine opportunity with flexible start/end dates. Coverage is service-based with additional surge support during higher-volume periods. No fixed call rotation.

Schedule:

• Service A: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Service B: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Service C: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• During increased patient volume, all services convert to 12-hour shifts.
• Weekend coverage: two 12-hour services with surge coverage as needed.

Call structure:

• Service C: on call 7:00 AM–11:00 AM
• Service B: on call 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Service A: on call 3:00 PM–7:00 PM
• Physicians are not expected to be called or return to the hospital after their assigned call period ends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine care.
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients; conduct rounds and create treatment plans.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and cross-coverage as assigned.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Respond to urgent patient needs during assigned coverage.
• Complete timely, accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active New Hampshire medical license.
• Hospital medicine experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in service-based coverage.
