Locum Tenens Hospitalist — Rochester, NH (Inpatient, 100-bed; Adult Medicine)

Seeking a Locums Hospital Medicine Physician for an ongoing inpatient role in Rochester, NH. Provide comprehensive care to an underserved adult inpatient population in a collaborative hospital setting.

Facility and Clinical Scope

• 100-bed hospital, no trauma designation
• On-site coverage; providers are not expected to take calls or be called back after shift
• Daily census: ~14–24 patients
• Admissions: ~4–5 per day
• Consults: ~4–6 per day, primarily to behavioral health and rehabilitation

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hospital medicine care for adult inpatients
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform daily rounds and create individualized treatment plans
• Admit and manage new patients during assigned shifts
• Coordinate consultations, referrals, and interdisciplinary care (nursing, specialists, behavioral health, rehab)
• Oversee discharge planning and transitions of care
• Respond to clinical needs during shifts
• Complete timely, accurate medical documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active New Hampshire medical license
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification
