Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (7 days on/7 days off). 1-3 year contract.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Outpatient cardiology clinic
- Inpatient consults and rounding
- 24/7 call during block schedule
- Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties
- Diagnostic LHC/RHC (Coronary Angiography)
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
- Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
- Echocardiography
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Nuclear Cardiology Studies
- Holter/Event Monitor Interpretation (preferred)
- Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation (preferred)
- Peripheral Diagnostic Angiography (preferred)
- Procedures
- Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
- Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Radial Access Procedures
- Cardioversion
- Temporary Pacemaker Placement
- Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (preferred)
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Placement and Management
- Impella Placement and Management
- Pericardiocentesis
- IVC Filter Placement and Retrieval
- Peripheral Intervention (preferred)
- Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Intervention
- Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis (EKOS)
- Mechanical Thrombectomy (Penumbra and similar thrombectomy systems)
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
- 50 PCI's/year for the last 2 years
- OR Medical License and DEA- Licensure facilitation provided
- Training and experience in fluoroscopy-guided cardiovascular procedures and radiation safety
