CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills and CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC) in San Antonio, TX, are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join our expanding team. As part of a health system with a legacy dating back to 1869, Westover Hills is a Level III trauma center featuring 250 acute-care beds and handling approximately 11,000 adult admissions annually. We are heavily expanding our surgical services to capture massive market demand. Our established general surgery group currently consists of 4 highly active physicians and we are looking to add a 5th dedicated specialist in colorectal surgery to anchor our lower GI, oncology, and advanced pelvic floor surgical workflows. Join a robust on-campus ecosystem with strong synergy alongside Interventional Radiology, Texas Oncology, and a massive integrated primary care network.
Position Details
Specialty: Colorectal Surgery / General Surgery
Schedule / Call: Full-time clinical schedule with manageable call structures aligned with hospital coverage needs.
Scope: Full spectrum of benign and malignant colorectal procedures, advanced minimally invasive and robotic techniques, and pelvic floor disorders.
Growth Opportunity: Ground-floor opportunity to work closely alongside our 4 general surgeons as the dedicated colorectal expert, capturing massive downstream volume and shaping the surgical subspecialty landscape at Westover Hills.
Support Team: Backed by an established 4-physician general surgery group, dedicated surgical techs, specialized OR and GI lab staff, and robust outpatient clinic infrastructure.
Referral Base: Massive built-in referral pipeline driven by our internal general surgery group generating thousands of annual consults, backed by a ~900,000 regional catchment area and an aggressive primary care expansion plan.
Facilities: Level III Trauma center, 4 state-of-the-art ORs, general procedure rooms, dedicated advanced endoscopy labs, and a major $300 million hospital expansion featuring advanced surgical suites.

Qualifications
Must possess an unrestricted Texas Medical License or be eligible to be licensed in the State of Texas.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
Fellowship-trained in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
