Locums Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery PA or NP — Inpatient, Springfield OH (Level II Trauma)

Location: Springfield, Ohio

Overview
Provide 100% inpatient care for adult and geriatric cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients at a Level II Trauma Center. Average daily census 20–26. EMR: Epic.

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekday floor/beeper call 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required: Saturday & Sunday 24-hour onsite support (floor and/or OR call)
• Call types: in-house and beeper/phone

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care and ongoing management for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
• Round on and manage hospitalized patients; evaluate and manage consults from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital teams
• Assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures; provide emergency surgical support as needed
• Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduits
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; write prescriptions as appropriate
• Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• Board certified PA or NP
• Vascular surgery experience required
• Active Ohio license at time of application (candidates needing to obtain an Ohio license will not be considered)
• Active ACLS certification
• Active DEA registration
