Locums Hospitalist — Portsmouth NH | 7-on/7-off, Teaching Opportunity, No Procedures

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Schedule and Coverage

• 7-on / 7-off block schedule; physicians must be willing to work seven consecutive shifts (preferably in two-week blocks per month)
• 10- and 12-hour shifts available
• Day, night, and rotating coverage required
• 16–20 patients per physician per day
• 2 dedicated nocturnists
• Closed ICU
• No procedures required
• EMR: Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult hospital patients
• Evaluate and manage admissions, daily rounds, cross-coverage, and discharges
• Coordinate treatment plans with consultants, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
• Participate in hospital operations and quality improvement activities
• Teach and mentor residents/learners as part of clinical duties

Qualifications

• Board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)
• Active New Hampshire medical license or ability to obtain one
• Strong inpatient hospital medicine experience
• Comfortable working consecutive 7-day blocks and covering day/night shifts
• Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred
