Job Description

Join a collaborative team providing high-quality care to post-acute and long-term care patients across skilled nursing facilities in Dowagiac, Michigan. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to lead patient-centered care alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attending physician coverage and clinical oversight for assigned skilled nursing facilities
  • Partner with NPs/PAs to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care plans, assessments, and transitions
  • Offer leadership in clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
  • Document care efficiently using company-provided iPad with LTE

Practice Details

  • Full-time role serving local skilled nursing facilities (physicians typically cover each facility 1–2 days per week)
  • No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, no call requirements
  • Typical daily volume: 18–25 visits
  • Flexible schedule that supports work-life balance
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply

Locations

  • Primary: Dowagiac, Michigan
  • Additional facility opportunities: Howell and Traverse City, MI; and select sites in Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, and Wisconsin

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
