PartTime Medical Director / Hospitalist — Flexible Schedule, No Nights/Call, High Pay & Retention Bonus

Seeking a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical oversight and direct care in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Ovid, Michigan and surrounding locations. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients across assigned facilities.

Locations

• Local Michigan opportunity: Ovid, MI (coverage may include nearby facilities)
• Current facility opportunities in Michigan: Bad Axe, East Jordan, Grayling, Holland, Houghton Lake, Manistique, Mount Pleasant, St. Joseph, Temperance
• Additional facility opportunities nationwide: GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide attending physician coverage and clinical leadership within assigned skilled nursing facilities
• Partner with NPs/PAs to manage care transitions, acute issues, chronic disease management, and end-of-life planning
• Conduct on-site visits (typically 18–25 patient visits per day)
• Oversee quality of care, documentation, and coordination with facility staff
• No overnight shifts, no on-call responsibilities

Schedule

• Part-time: physicians typically cover each facility 1–2 days per week
• Flexible scheduling with no fixed daily start/end times

Requirements

• MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply
