Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide high-quality care across skilled nursing facilities in Houghton Lake, Michigan. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and an opportunity to lead clinical care for post-acute and long-term care patients. The physician will work closely with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and provide clinical oversight within assigned facilities.

Practice locations (current): Bad Axe, East Jordan, Grayling, Holland, Manistique, Mount Pleasant, Ovid, St. Joseph, and Temperance, MI.
Additional facility opportunities nationwide: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Role highlights

  • Part-time coverage for local skilled nursing facilities (typically 1–2 days per week per facility)
  • No fixed daily start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts
  • Average caseload of 18–25 visits per day

Requirements

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
