Outpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — Sheridan, WY

Join a growing outpatient gastroenterology practice serving Sheridan and nearby communities in rural Wyoming. This full-time role offers a flexible schedule, strong compensation, and collaborative care alongside an experienced GI team. No prior gastroenterology experience required—candidates with primary care or internal medicine backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Position details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time
• Setting: Outpatient gastroenterology
• Patient population: Adults
• Patient volume: ~12–16 patients per day
• Weekly schedule: 2 days in Sheridan, 2 days in Gillette/Buffalo, 1 remote administrative day
• Travel: Expenses between clinic sites fully covered

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adults with acute and chronic GI conditions
• Perform new patient consultations and routine follow-ups
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
• Develop treatment plans and provide clear patient education
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and clinical staff to ensure patient-centered care
• Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation

Compensation & benefits

• Base salary: $115,000–$125,000 annually
• 45% production bonus

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Board certified NP or PA
• Eligible for or holding an active Wyoming license
• Preferred background: primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• GI experience not required; training provided
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
