Locums Emergency Medicine Physician — Okeechobee, FL (Board Certified/Eligible)

Seeking locum tenens Emergency Medicine physicians to provide acute care in Okeechobee, FL.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care across a range of acute conditions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments: history, physical exam, ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies.
• Initiate and manage treatment plans, including medication administration, procedural interventions, wound care, and minor procedures as indicated.
• Stabilize and triage patients, arrange dispositions (admission, transfer, discharge), and coordinate with consultants and EMS.
• Document care accurately and comply with facility policies and quality standards.
• Maintain timely communication with nursing and ancillary staff.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Prior ED clinical experience required for locum coverage.
• Strong clinical decision-making, procedural skills, and ability to work independently in variable emergency settings.
