Locums PMHNP or PA – Inpatient Psychiatric Facility, Mansfield CT | $140/hr, Ongoing

Location: Mansfield Center, CT — inpatient psychiatric facility (56 beds)
Compensation: $140/hour
Start: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Full-time
Patient volume: ~10–12 patients/day
Patient population: Inpatient psychiatric patients requiring medical oversight

Core responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for psychiatric inpatients.
• Perform comprehensive and routine physical exams and medical assessments.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical issues.
• Order, review and interpret diagnostic tests and labs.
• Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatry and the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate specialty referrals and medical follow-up as needed.
• Monitor patient status, address emergent medical concerns, and provide patient education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate with nursing and other staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Active, unrestricted Connecticut license.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred.
• Credentialing and ability to work as a locum tenens provider.
