Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to provide full-time, ongoing coverage at a 56-bed psychiatric facility in Mansfield Center, Connecticut. The provider will oversee patients’ medical needs and perform routine physical examinations.

Compensation: $140 Per Hour

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for patients within the psychiatric facility.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and routine medical assessments.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Monitor patient health status and address medical concerns as they arise.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.
• Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatric and medical care teams.
• Coordinate medical care and specialty referrals when necessary.
• Provide patient education and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, psychiatry, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant
• Active Connecticut license
