Locum Elective Orthopedic Surgeon — Total Joints (Marion, IL)

Join an established health system in Williamson County, Illinois to build and lead a high-volume elective orthopedic and total joints practice. This locum opportunity offers a strong platform for growth with dedicated APP support, protected OR time, and a collaborative orthopedic team.

Practice highlights:

• Focus: elective adult reconstruction and total joint surgery with the chance to shape and expand a new service line.
• Dedicated OR block time, Monday–Friday.
• Advanced Practice Provider support assigned to the service.
• Hospitalist team manages most inpatient admissions.
• Robust administrative and clinical infrastructure to support practice growth.
• Limited acute orthopedic and fracture coverage required; complex trauma is managed by in-system orthopedic traumatology specialists.

Requirements:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and hospital privileges.
• Interest and ability to build an elective orthopedic practice while managing a limited amount of acute/fracture care.

Preferred qualifications:

• Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Replacement.
• Proven experience developing referral networks and growing elective surgical volume.
• Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality orthopedic care.
