Job Description
- Employed cardiovascular surgery position with Detroit Medical Group.
- Practice based at the TPR Cardiovascular Clinic within The Heart Hospital campus.
- Daily hospital rounds with a typical schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Clinic at Sinai-Grace Hospital at least one day per week.
- Clinic at The Heart Hospital one day per week.
- Approximately 40 hours per week dedicated to patient care, including OR and clinic responsibilities.
- Clinical mix of approximately 75% OR time, 15% clinic, and 10% rounding.
- Shared call rotation currently 1:2 with plans to expand to 1:3.
- Hospital-compensated call coverage | Call includes consults, cardiac surgery emergencies, ECMO, transfers, weekends, and holidays.
- Typical clinic volume of 5 to 7 patients per day, depending on referrals and post-surgical follow-up.
- Collaborate with a cardiovascular team that includes interventional and non-invasive cardiologists, pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, and a large cardiovascular referral base.
- Privileges across Detroit Receiving, Harper, and Sinai-Grace hospitals
- Employed position within a growing cardiovascular service line.
- Hospital-compensated call coverage.
- Experienced APP support for ICU and inpatient care, including ECMO management assistance.
- Established APP training infrastructure that supports physician efficiency and patient care.
