Compensation & Benefits

• $290,000 annual Site Medical Director stipend
• Clinical pay: $225/hour (days) | $240/hour (nights)
• Total compensation potential: $375,000–$475,000+
• $60,000 start-date bonus for a two-year commitment (Medical Director terms negotiable with approval)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and oversight of ED clinical operations
• Develop and implement quality improvement, patient flow, and performance initiatives
• Conduct physician and APP performance review, staffing and scheduling oversight
• Collaborate with hospital administration on strategy, policy, and resource allocation
• Support education and training for physicians, APPs, and learners
• Serve as the clinical liaison for metrics, data analytics, and regulatory compliance

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active or eligible New York medical license
• Active or eligible DEA registration
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications, as applicable
• Significant Emergency Medicine clinical experience
• Prior Medical Director or clinical leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of ED operations, quality metrics, patient flow, and performance improvement
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
