Key Responsibilities
- Clinical and administrative leadership: oversee both clinical operations and administrative functions to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Team leadership: direct and mentor teams of physicians and advanced practice clinicians
- Advocacy and collaboration: serve as an advocate for patients, peers, and nursing colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Operational improvement: influence and enhance processes to optimize operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes
Abrazo West Campus
- Level 1 trauma center
- Annual emergency department volume: 47,000 (12% admission rate)
- 35 ED beds
- EMR: Cerner
- Coverage: 38 physician hours; 34 advanced practice clinician hours
- Additional features: Certified stroke and chest pain center, EM residency program
Requirements
- EM training: board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine
- Privileges: must have clinical privileges at both Abrazo West Campus and Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center
- Leadership and collaboration: demonstrated ability to lead diverse clinical teams and drive quality improvement initiatives
