Summary:

This role will assist Director coordinating daily operations, performing and supervising EEG tests, and ensuring quality assurance. The role also involves administrative duties like scheduling and training, as well as the technical responsibilities of applying electrodes, operating equipment, and reviewing preliminary data.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Staff and operations management: Oversee and train other EEG technicians, conduct staff evaluations, and assist with hiring and discipline.
  • Daily operations: Coordinate the scheduling of shifts and the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Technical expertise: Perform all aspects of EEG testing, including preparing patients, applying electrodes, operating the equipment, and modifying protocols as needed.
  • Quality assurance: Monitor and support continuous quality improvement, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and evaluate new technology.
  • Patient care: Act as a resource for patients, families, and staff, ensuring tests are conducted comfortably and safely.
  • Administrative tasks: Assist with office responsibilities like data entry, billing, and maintaining equipment.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills
• Highschool Diploma required.

Experience
• Minimum of three years of EEG experience is typically required.
• Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with others.
• Strong knowledge of neurophysiology, brain anatomy, and EEG principles.
• Skill in operating and maintaining EEG equipment and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• BLS required.
• Registry in a neurodiagnostic specialty (e.g., EEG) is strongly preferred.

In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
