Job Description
Seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine advanced practice provider for locum tenens coverage. This role is ideal for a PA or NP with emergency medicine experience seeking flexible scheduling and ongoing assignments in a hospital emergency department.
Position details

Core responsibilities
- Triage, evaluate, and manage patients presenting to the ED
- Obtain histories, perform physical exams, and complete diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans and procedures within scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Provide patient education and clear discharge instructions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary ED team
Requirements
- PA-C or NP certification
- Active Ohio license (PA license specified)
- NCCPA certification (for PA applicants) and DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred or required depending on facility
- Prior emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred
- Able to work independently while engaging collaboratively with the ED team
