Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Opportunity in Port Charlotte, FL

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine Program Director to establish our Internal Medicine Residency Program.

The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation and the general administration of the program. They lead strategic direction of the program and are responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Internal Medicine residency program.

The Program Director will integrate the Internal Medicine residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and promotes an optimal environment for graduate medical education.   

Qualified Candidates:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Minimum of three years’ experience as physician core faculty or associate program director in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program
• The Program Director must possess the required specialty expertise, as well as documented educational and administrative abilities, to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program 
• Must participate in ongoing scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
• Schedule: 50% clinical (some night and weekend coverage) and 50% GME focused
