Locums OB/GYN Physician - Alpena, MI (Weekday Clinic & Procedural Coverage)

We’re looking for an experienced OB/GYN to provide clinic and procedural coverage in Alpena, Michigan. This role offers a steady weekday schedule, a manageable patient volume, and a supportive clinical team so you can focus on patient care.

Schedule and Volume

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM; Friday: 7:30 AM-12:00 PM
• Clinic volume averages about 2 patients per hour, depending on appointment length

Clinical Support

• Three nurses scheduled per shift to assist with clinic flow and procedures
• A midwife will join the team in September to help with call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities and Procedures
You’ll provide comprehensive OB/GYN care and perform a variety of procedures, including:

• Suction D&C
• Laparoscopy
• Reading and interpreting NSTs
• Cesarean sections
• Circumcisions
• Tubal ligations

Systems and Documentation

• EMR: Epic
• Dictation: Dragon

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (must obtain certification within 5 years)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Recent case logs showing at least 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within the past 12 months
• Michigan license preferred; candidates pursuing licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) will be considered
