Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician - Full-Time (Boston, MA)

Join an established hospitalist team in Boston as a full-time Nocturnist Physician providing balanced admissions and inpatient care with opportunities for teaching and academic appointment. Our program emphasizes strong peer support, reasonable patient volumes, and a collaborative culture to help you thrive.

Position highlights:

• Full-time, hospital-employed schedule: weekday nights 6:45 PM-7:00 AM; weekend nights 6:30 PM-7:00 AM (one weekend shift extends to 7:30 AM)
• One daytime weekend shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (covers 10 patients)
• Average 12 twelve-hour shifts per month
• Typical shift: 4-5 admissions with cross-coverage of 30-40 patients
• Team-based night coverage with nine nocturnists per night and sick-call backup
• Teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
• New graduates welcome

Compensation and benefits:

Requirements:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure
• Hospitalist experience preferred but not required
