General Neurologist (Outpatient) - Berlin, NH | Full-Time Rural Neurology Physician

What the role looks like

• Full-time schedule (typically 4-4.5 days per week) in an outpatient general neurology practice
• Treat adolescents (16+) and adults - both new and established patients
• Manage a broad range of general neurology conditions with on-site diagnostic testing available
• Bring any special clinical interests - you’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a Rural Critical Access Hospital setting

Clinical responsibilities
You will evaluate and manage a variety of neurological conditions, including but not limited to:

• Migraine and headache disorders
• Memory loss and cognitive impairment
• Essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease
• Dizziness and epilepsy
• Multiple sclerosis and polyneuropathy

Day-to-day duties

• Diagnose and manage neurological disorders in the outpatient clinic
• Develop individualized treatment plans and manage medications
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Interpret EEGs (highly preferred)
• Perform and interpret NCS/EMG studies (highly preferred)
• Administer Botox injections (highly preferred)
• Counsel patients and families and coordinate care with cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine, therapy, and other specialties
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation

Who we’re looking for

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited neurology residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• 2-5 years of general neurology experience preferred, but recent graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable practicing in a rural setting with strong communication and teamwork skills
