Locum Tenens Invasive Cardiology Physician - Alpena, MI (Board Cert/Eligible)

Board Certified or Board Eligible invasive cardiology physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in Alpena, Michigan. This full-time opportunity blends outpatient clinic work, inpatient hospital rounding, procedures, and call coverage within a collaborative, team-oriented practice.

Compensation: $2,800 per day

Key details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, plus call
• Call: 1:2 expectation
• Practice setting: Combined outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage
• Typical day: Balanced mix of clinic visits, inpatient rounds, and procedural time
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon dictation

Clinical duties

• Evaluate new and established patients
• Inpatient rounding and continuity care
• Interpret cardiac imaging and diagnostic testing
• Perform procedures based on experience, such as:
  • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Cardioversions
  • Loop recorder implant/explant
  • Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations (preferred but not required)

Requirements

• Active Michigan medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Diagnostic catheter skills preferred but optional
