Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician - Skilled Nursing Facilities (Hospitalist)

Seeking a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical oversight and direct patient care at skilled nursing facilities in Tiptonville, Tennessee. You will work alongside Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients, provide leadership, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attending physician services and clinical leadership across assigned skilled nursing facilities
• Collaborate with NPs/PAs on care plans, admissions, transfers, and transitions
• Conduct onsite visits (18-25 patient visits per day typical)
• Sign orders, complete documentation, and oversee medical management and quality initiatives
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and support facility-level clinical protocols

Schedule and setting

• Part-time (typical coverage: each facility 1-2 days/week)
• No fixed daily start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
