Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Hospitalist - Skilled Nursing Facilities, Gallaway TN

Provide part-time medical direction and attending physician services to residents in skilled nursing facilities in Gallaway, Tennessee. Work within a collaborative post-acute and long-term care setting to manage patient care, support facility staff, and ensure quality outcomes.

Schedule and Workload

• Part-time: typically 1-2 days per week per facility
• No fixed daily start/end times
• No call, no overnight shifts
• Average 18-25 patient visits per day
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and medical oversight for skilled nursing facility residents
• Perform evaluations, develop and manage care plans, and document visits
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and facility leadership
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active unrestricted U.S. license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills
