Medical Director / Hospitalist - Flexible FT Schedule, No Nights/Call, High Earning Potential

We are hiring a full-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical leadership and attend to patients in local skilled nursing facilities in Ayden, NC. This role partners with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver patient-centered care across assigned facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and attendingship for post-acute and long-term care patients in multiple skilled nursing facilities
• Collaborate with NPs/PAs and interdisciplinary teams on care plans, transitions, and quality initiatives
• Conduct on-site visits, assessments, and documentation for assigned patients
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor for facility staff as needed
• Participate in performance improvement and compliance activities

Schedule and workload

• Full-time with flexible scheduling
• Typical coverage: each facility 1-2 days per week
• No overnight shifts, no on-call responsibilities
• No fixed start/end times
• Daily volume: approximately 18-25 visits
• Company provides iPad with LTE for documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
