Inpatient Hospitalist Physician - Burlington, VT | Monday-Friday, No Weekends/No Call

We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join a growing post-acute care team in Burlington, VT. This full-time, facility-based inpatient hospitalist role offers an outstanding work-life balance: a Monday-Friday schedule (9:00 AM-5:00 PM), no weekends, and no on-call duties. Opportunities are also available in Burlington and St. Albans, and we have full-time, part-time, and PRN positions to fit different needs.

Typical responsibilities include managing medically complex patients in post-acute and skilled nursing settings, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and helping shape patient-centered care pathways across assigned facilities (travel between sites may be required).

Compensation is guaranteed and ranges broadly based on role and productivity, with most full-time physicians earning between $300,000 and $500,000 annually and significant upside through productivity incentives (overall range $200,000-$500,000+). Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (or related specialties such as Family or Geriatric Medicine). You should have an active, unrestricted state medical license or be eligible for licensure, and DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one. Prior experience in hospital medicine, post-acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatrics, or internal medicine is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care are essential.
