Merit Health Wesley is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join an established surgical team in vibrant Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This hospital-employed opportunity is ideal for a surgeon seeking a high-volume, collaborative practice environment with access to advanced surgical technology and comprehensive support.
Opportunity Highlights
- Established Practice Environment: Join two experienced, community-based general surgeons who share call and cross-coverage.
- Clinical Scope: Focus on core "bread-and-butter" general surgery. Subspecialty interests (such as Colorectal Surgery) are welcomed, provided the physician maintains a strong commitment to bread-and-butter general surgery.
- Advanced Technology: Access to the da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System
- Call Schedule: 1:3 combined call coverage covering General Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, and Level III Trauma at a single hospital facility.
- Candidate Profile: Open to both experienced practicing surgeons and new graduates/fellows. Visa candidates (J-1 / H-1B) are eligible to apply.
