Heart Failure Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant opening in Rapid City, SD
Full-Time | Cardiology / Heart Failure | Inpatient/Outpatient | 40 Hours
A Heart and Vascular program in Rapid City, South Dakota is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support Heart Failure Cardiology care in a blended inpatient and outpatient setting.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Heart Failure Cardiology APP role
- Blended inpatient and outpatient practice
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage cardiology and heart failure patients
- Manage selected at-risk or complex patients in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
- Order appropriate tests, procedures, and therapies in collaboration with medical staff
- May perform procedures within scope of practice
- No operating room or first-assist requirement
- May share in practice call requirements
- Provide referrals or transfer patients when appropriate
- Complete thorough and timely documentation
- Regular full-time position with 40 scheduled weekly hours
- Physician-supervised practice model

Candidate Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- South Dakota Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification required
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
- 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
- Cardiology, heart failure, CHF management, inpatient/outpatient cardiology, internal medicine, or related APP experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
