Locum Tenens Hand Surgery Physician - Level I Trauma Call Coverage (Lakewood, CO)

Join a Level I Trauma Center team in Lakewood, CO as a locum Hand Surgery physician. You’ll provide 24-hour call coverage for hand-related emergencies, supporting the emergency department and transfer center with timely consultations and management.

Compensation

• $3,200 per day

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call duties expected
• Practice settings include inpatient care, the ED, and the Level I Trauma Center
• EMR: Epic

What you’ll do

• Take call for ED and transfer center consults for hand injuries
• Evaluate and manage acute hand injuries that require specialist care
• Work closely with emergency and inpatient teams to coordinate treatment plans
• Decide when transfer or higher level of care is necessary
• Document assessments and treatment plans in Epic
• Provide coverage for hand surgery emergencies (note: reimplantation procedures are not performed at this facility)

What we’re looking for

• Board certified in Hand Surgery or in a surgical specialty with hand surgery qualifications
• Active Colorado medical license
• Current DEA registration
