Surgical Services NP / PA opening in Winchester, MA
Full-Time | Nights | Three 12-Hour Shifts | Inpatient Surgery & OR First Assist
A community hospital in Winchester, Massachusetts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Surgical Services team and provide inpatient surgical care during dedicated night shifts.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Surgical Services APP opportunity
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant considered
- Night shift only
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Provide postoperative care on inpatient surgical floors
- Manage postoperative patients in the ICU
- Evaluate and admit surgical patients from the Emergency Department
- Evaluate inpatient surgical consultations
- Perform bedside procedures
- First assist in the operating room as needed
- Robotic surgery first-assist opportunities
- Collaborate closely with specialist physicians and surgical teams
- Independently licensed APP role
- EPIC experience preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: **$105,300 – $171,900**

Candidate Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies for PA candidates
- Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license for NP candidates
- Appropriate Massachusetts PA licensure for PA candidates
- State and Federal DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Clinical experience in Surgical Services
- 1+ year of specialty clinical experience preferred
- 1+ year of experience caring for surgical patients preferred
- Comfortable with inpatient, ICU, ED consult, procedural, and OR responsibilities
- Ability to work dedicated night shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
