Spine Surgery Nurse Practitioner opening in Boston, MA
Full-Time | Orthopedic Spine Surgery | Day Schedule | Surgical & Clinical Care
An orthopedic specialty hospital in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work closely with Orthopedic Surgeons in the evaluation, treatment, and coordination of care for patients with spinal and orthopedic conditions.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Spine Surgery Nurse Practitioner opportunity
- Day-shift schedule
- Work closely with Orthopedic Surgeons
- Provide direct clinical assessment and management of orthopedic patients
- Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
- Review laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Develop diagnoses based on clinical findings
- Create individualized plans of care
- Order diagnostic studies and coordinate consultations or referrals
- Initiate treatment according to established clinical protocols
- Provide patient education related to procedures and general health
- Coordinate care with physicians, physical therapists, nursing staff, and case management
- Communicate treatment plans with attending physicians and consultants
- Review abnormal diagnostic and laboratory findings and coordinate follow-up
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in continuing education and clinical education programs
- Participate in hospital and nursing committees as requested
- Schedule may vary based on OR schedule and inpatient patient volume
- Ability to initiate emergency treatment and CPR when indicated
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: **$133,515.20 – $181,563.20**

Candidate Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner
- Master’s degree
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in Massachusetts
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong orthopedic clinical assessment skills
- Ability to collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Strong communication, patient education, and care coordination skills
