Locums Pediatric & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Inpatient Boston, MA | $250-$260/hr, Weekday Coverage

We’re looking for a pediatric psychiatrist to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage in Boston, caring for children and adolescents ages 3-18. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team and be the primary physician rounding on an inpatient unit with an average daily census of about 10 patients. This is a Monday-Friday daytime role (8:00 AM-5:00 PM).

Compensation

• $250-$260 per hour

What you’ll do

• Conduct daily inpatient psychiatric rounds and evaluate pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a range of conditions (depression, suicidal ideation, PTSD, personality disorders, oppositional/defiant behaviors, etc.).
• Create and revise individualized treatment plans and monitor progress, response to treatment, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and other clinical team members.
• Support discharge planning and ensure smooth continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic.

Who we’re looking for

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certified in Psychiatry with the appropriate pediatric/adolescent psychiatry qualifications.
• Active Massachusetts medical license.
• Current BLS certification and active DEA registration.
• Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience.
