Academic Nocturnist Physician - Harvard-Affiliated Hospitalist (Boston, MA)

Join a Harvard-affiliated academic healthcare system in Boston as a full-time nocturnist physician. New graduates (2027 residency completers) are encouraged to apply; prior hospitalist experience is not required.

Compensation

• Starting salary: $295,000+ (increases with experience)
• Relocation assistance available

Clinical Schedule & Workload

• Average 12 shifts per month
• Weekday nights: 6:45 PM-7:00 AM
• Weekend nights: 6:30 PM-7:00 AM
• One daytime weekend shift per month: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Approximately 4-5 admissions per shift
• Cross-coverage of 30-40 patients

Team & Academic Roles

• Nightly team of 9 nocturnists with sick-call backup
• Opportunities to teach medical students and residents
• Potential academic faculty appointment

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
• 2027 residency graduates encouraged to apply
