Job Description
We are seeking a Cardiac Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Ohio. This part-time opportunity provides vacation coverage with 24-hour call, hospital rounding, and cardiac surgery responsibilities. No clinic time is required.
Overview
- Provide inpatient hospital rounding and cardiac surgical coverage
- Perform cardiac surgery procedures, including CABG, aortic valve replacement, and pericardial window
- Manage inpatient consultations and admissions
- Collaborate with the hospital's cardiac care team, including intensivists, invasive cardiologists, and cardiac anesthesiologists
- Provide 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
- Approximately 1–2 cardiac surgical cases per week
- 100% adult
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Cardiac Surgery
- Active Ohio medical license or eligibility through the IMLC
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Current DEA registration
- Current ACLS certification
