Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for locum tenens coverage in Ohio. This part-time inpatient opportunity focuses on newborn care in a low-acuity Labor and Delivery setting, with flexible scheduling for providers available at least 5 days per month.
Overview
- 24-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM
- Overnight call may be taken from the hotel from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Approximately 17–20 shifts available per month across the coverage team
- Minimum availability of 5 days per month
- Inpatient newborn care in Labor and Delivery
- 100% pediatric, primarily newborns
- EMR: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Perform newborn assessments
- Review newborn hearing test results
- Review laboratory results
- Coordinate with Labor and Delivery staff regarding incoming patients
- Provide newborn care in a low-acuity setting
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one
- Active DEA registration
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
