Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their East Florida Division is seeking an Anatomic and Clinical Medical Director for HCA Florida Westside Hospital. The hospital is located in Broward county, suburbs of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Pathology Services consists of over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. We provide expert diagnosis in complex and challenging fields. Among our top priorities is employing the best talent to advance care for our patients. 

Qualified Candidates:

• AP/CP Board Certification required
• 2 years of hospital-based medical director experience preferred
• This role includes the practice of surgical pathology, as well as didactic and case-based teaching of pathology residents and medical students.
• Recent experience performing frozen sections
• Recent general surgical pathology and clinical interpretations
• Florida licensed or FCVS in place preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills 

Pathology Volumes/Cases:

• 4,900 cases per year
• This practice consists of 2 pathologists

About HCA Florida Westside Hospital:

HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, is a 296 bed facility that offers a case load of General, Orthopedic, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, GYN, ENT, Urology, Spine and Intracranial Neurosurgery. In addition, there are active programs of anesthesia delivery outside the OR, including the cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology lab, MRI and interventional suite with neuro and interventional vascular procedures.
