Hybrid Hospitalist Physician - 7-on/7-off Admissions, Rounding & Discharges (Richmond, IN)

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician needed for a full-time hospitalist role in Richmond, IN. This position focuses on inpatient admissions, daily rounding, and discharge management in a collaborative hospital medicine team with two day-shift APPs.

Schedule and practice

• Shift: 7:30 AM-7:30 PM
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• No call
• No required procedures
• Team support: two day-shift APPs

Primary responsibilities

• Evaluate and admit patients requiring inpatient medical care
• Perform daily rounds and manage ongoing treatment plans
• Coordinate discharges, including follow-up planning and patient instructions
• Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, consultants, and other care team members
• Review diagnostic results and manage acute and chronic medical issues
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• If applicable, board certification must be obtained within five years of residency completion
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• 2-3 years of inpatient medicine experience preferred
• Ability to maintain required certifications and meet professional standards
