Locums OBGYN (Board-Certified) - Rural Hospital 24-Hr Call in Cadillac, MI (3-6 Days/Month)

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage in a rural, hospital-based practice in Cadillac, Michigan. The physician will deliver comprehensive inpatient obstetric care - routine vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and management of obstetric emergencies - while practicing independently and providing 24-hour call coverage.

Schedule

• Coverage: ~3-6 days per month
• Shift: 24-hour call (typically 7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Days: Variable based on needs; weekend coverage required
• Call type/ratio: Beeper/phone; 1:5

Clinical responsibilities

• Manage routine vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
• Evaluate and treat obstetric emergencies and provide timely inpatient assessments
• Deliver comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care and perform procedures within OBGYN scope
• Practice independently in a rural hospital setting and respond to call needs promptly

Practice details

• Setting: 100% inpatient/hospital-based
• Facilities: Trauma Level I and Level II designations
• Patient population: Adult
• Average patient volume: 2-5 patients/day (variable by census and acuity)
• EMR: Oracle

Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Michigan medical license at time of application (candidates requiring licensure will not be considered)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM, and NRP certifications
• Current DEA registration
• Broad OBGYN experience, including routine deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies
• Ability to practice independently in a rural hospital setting
