Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician - Pontiac, MI (Outpatient Clinic, Mon/Wed/Fri)

We’re looking for a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to join a locum tenens team in Pontiac, Michigan, caring for adult outpatients with hematologic disorders and cancer. You’ll manage diagnoses and treatment plans, provide ongoing follow-up care, and take part in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions to help coordinate the best care for each patient.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Provide ongoing outpatient treatment and follow-up care and develop individualized management plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings to collaborate on complex cases.
• Cover clinic-related on-call duties as needed (clinic call required; optional night and weekend 24-hour call may be available).
• Maintain accurate patient records in Cerner EMR and work closely with the care team to coordinate services.

Schedule and practice details

• Clinic days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Patient volume: ~15-20 patients per day
• Patient population: 100% adult outpatient
• EMR: Cerner

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Michigan medical license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology
