Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician - 24-Hour Coverage (Warrenton, VA)

We are seeking a Locums OB/GYN to provide 24-hour coverage in Warrenton, Virginia. This role delivers full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care - including emergency evaluations, labor & delivery management, operative procedures, and postpartum recovery. Some shifts include a midwife as first call.

Schedule & coverage

• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call responsibilities
• Some shifts with midwife first-call coverage

Key responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery, including intrapartum decision-making and postpartum care
• Perform emergency and scheduled OB/GYN surgeries as indicated
• Triage and manage urgent OB/GYN presentations
• Evaluate patients and establish appropriate treatment plans
• Collaborate with midwives, nursing staff, and other clinicians to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Current DEA registration
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Experience in labor & delivery, postpartum care, and emergency surgical procedures
• Availability for 24-hour shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage
