Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician - Florida (PRN/Ongoing)

We’re looking for Emergency Medicine physicians interested in flexible, ongoing PRN (as-needed) locum tenens coverage across Florida. You’ll have the option to work in hospital-based emergency departments, trauma centers, or freestanding EDs with a range of patient volumes, acuity levels, and clinical support. These assignments don’t have a fixed end date, so you can provide recurring coverage and even credential at multiple sites to expand your scheduling options.

Available locations include Apopka, Bradenton, DeFuniak Springs, Fort Pierce, Fort Walton Beach, Inverness, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Miami, Okeechobee, Orlando, Port Charlotte, Sanford, Sebring, Tampa, Trinity, and Winter Haven.

What we offer

• Competitive pay starting at $310+ per hour (final rates depend on ED experience and board certification)
• 100% travel reimbursement paid on top of your hourly rate
• Typical shifts are 12 hours; day, night, and weekend opportunities are available
• Ongoing PRN coverage with no fixed end date

• Patient populations vary by site and may include adult and pediatric care
• Scheduling commitments and clinical requirements differ by facility

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO with Emergency Medicine training and hands-on ED experience
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• Active Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
• DEA registration and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications as required by the facility
• Ability to meet facility credentialing and scheduling requirements
