Remote Locum Tenens Diagnostic Radiologist - Night/Swing Shifts (CA License)

We’re looking for a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist to join a remote locum tenens team covering night and swing shifts for a Sacramento-based practice. You’ll interpret a full range of studies - CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray - and deliver timely, high-quality reports that support clinical care.

Compensation

• $520 per hour

Schedule & assignment details

• Shift: 2:00 AM - 8:00 AM
• Days: Any 5 days per week
• Coverage type: Remote night and swing shifts
• Assignment length: 9-12 months
• Start: As soon as credentialed (credentialing ~90 days)
• EMR: Cerner

Typical daily volume

• 20-25 ultrasound studies
• 25-30 CT/MRI studies
• 150-200 X-ray studies

Core responsibilities

• Interpret general diagnostic imaging studies (CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray)
• Provide accurate, timely diagnostic interpretations and clear radiology reports
• Communicate and collaborate with referring clinicians and care teams as needed
• Adhere to established imaging protocols and quality standards

Requirements

• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active California medical license (required)
• Residence in one of these states: California, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, or Utah
• Ability to provide remote coverage for the required night/swing shifts
• Experience interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies
