Part-Time Medical Director / Hospitalist - Flexible Schedule, No Nights or Call, High Pay + $50K Retention

Provide clinical leadership and attend to residents at local skilled nursing facilities in Springfield, IL. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver timely, patient-centered post-acute and long-term care.

Key responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, treat, and follow-up on residents in assigned skilled nursing facilities
• Supervise and collaborate with NPs/PAs on care plans and transitions
• Provide medical direction and clinical oversight for facility teams
• Complete documentation and communicate with families, facility staff, and referring providers
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities as needed

Schedule & clinical load

• Part-time; typical coverage: each facility 1-2 days/week
• No fixed daily start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
• Average 18-25 visits per day
• Flexible schedule to support work-life balance

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
