Locum Tenens Interventional Radiology Physician - Level I Trauma Center, Lansing MI

We’re looking for a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a Level I trauma center in Lansing, MI on a locum tenens basis. This hospital-based role offers a predictable weekday schedule with a fair call rotation and a steady procedural volume - a great fit if you enjoy a variety of cases and working closely with surgical teams.

Schedule and practice details

• Typical shift: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• Call: Q3 rotation (every third weekday and every third weekend)
• Weekend coverage: every third weekend
• Call ratio among IRs: 1:3
• Trauma level: Level I
• Average volume: roughly 8 cases per day

What you’ll do

• Perform a broad mix of interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis, needle biopsies, and uterine fibroid embolization (UFE).
• Provide procedural support for orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic cases (experience in these areas is preferred).
• Evaluate patients and develop image-guided treatment plans.
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage post-procedure care.
• Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Interventional Radiology required
• Active Michigan medical license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
