Locum OBGYN - Level III Trauma Hospital (Inpatient L&D, 36 hrs/wk, $190/hr)

Locum tenens opportunity at a Level III trauma hospital in Galloway, NJ. Inpatient, hospital-based role focused exclusively on labor and delivery.

Compensation

• $190 per hour

Schedule & coverage

• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Shift options: Day 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or Night 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Coverage: Monday-Friday with a mix of day and night shifts
• No weekend or on-call requirements specified

Clinical setting & volume

• 100% inpatient, labor and delivery service
• Trauma designation: Level III
• Daily laboring census: ~1-9 patients
• Cesarean sections: ~3 per day
• EMR: Cerner / Oracle

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care for labor and delivery patients
• Manage the labor floor: assessments, monitoring, delivery planning
• Perform and manage labor inductions
• Perform cesarean sections as indicated
• Evaluate and manage gynecologic emergencies presenting through the ED
• Provide inpatient gynecologic consultations
• Collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner / Oracle

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active New Jersey medical license
• Experience managing labor and delivery patients, including inductions and cesarean sections
• Experience managing gynecologic emergencies and providing inpatient gynecologic consultations
