Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician - 24-Hour Labor & Delivery Coverage (Warrenton, VA)

We’re looking for a Locums OB/GYN to cover 24-hour shifts in Warrenton, Virginia, providing full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care. You’ll manage labor and delivery, evaluate and treat urgent presentations, perform surgeries when needed, and work closely with midwives and nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Schedule & coverage

• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Some shifts will have a midwife as first call

Key responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery management and postpartum care, including recovery evaluations
• Triage and manage urgent OB/GYN presentations and emergency evaluations
• Perform emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgeries as indicated
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other clinicians to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Current DEA registration
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Proven ability to manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Experience with labor and delivery, postpartum care, and emergency surgical procedures
• Availability for 24-hour shifts, including weekends and on-call coverage
