Locums General Orthopedic Surgeon - Level III Trauma (Fly-In, $4,050/24-hr, Travel + Malpractice Covered)

We're working with a healthcare facility in Twin Falls that needs a Locums General Orthopedic Surgeon to cover at their Level III Trauma Center. This role is a great fit if you enjoy managing acute orthopedic trauma, working closely with ED and surgery colleagues, and balancing operative and non-operative care in a busy, collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Evaluate and treat patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries in both the emergency department and inpatient settings.
• Manage fractures and related orthopedic injuries using operative and non-operative techniques.
• Provide timely consultations for ED and inpatient cases and participate in trauma call coverage with the orthopedic team.
• Work alongside emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and surgical support staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality.

Compensation

• $4,050 per 24-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred.
• Eligible for Idaho medical licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage complex trauma cases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
