Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgeon - 24-Hour Hospital Coverage (Fallon, NV)

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon needed for locum tenens coverage in Fallon, Nevada. This hospital-based position provides 24-hour orthopedic coverage, including call, clinic, and operative responsibilities, primarily caring for adult patients with an emphasis on general orthopedics and total joint procedures. Ongoing need: 1-2 weeks per month.

Compensation and benefits

• $3,195 per 24-hour shift
• Above-market hourly rate for 24-hour coverage
• All travel arrangements booked and paid by the group (in addition to shift pay)
• Malpractice and tail insurance provided
• Personal locum consultant to manage credentialing and scheduling

Scope of work

• Provide continuous (24-hour) orthopedic coverage, including call duties
• Manage inpatient and outpatient clinics
• Perform surgical cases in a hospital setting, focused on adult general orthopedics and total joint procedures
• Practice independently in a hospital environment

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Experience with general orthopedics and total joint arthroplasty
• Active Nevada medical license or ability to obtain one
• Comfortable working autonomously in a hospital-based setting
